PSL Lahore Qalandars players 2021 roster is placed here. After four baron years there, Qalandars fans finally had something to cheer about last season as they made their first-ever PSL final. Although it wasn’t to be and they lost to the Karachi Kings it was certainly a step in the right direction for them. It gives them something to build on for this year, it gives them the experience of reaching a final and perhaps above all it gives them the hope and encouragement that they so desperately needed. Especially when you think they the recording for posting the lowest team total in PSL history which, is a record that nobody wants. The record was set against Peshawar and was just 59 runs.

Key Players on Lahore Qalandars Team 2021

It’s no great surprise then to see that they have retained the majority of their squad from last year with the likes of Mohammad Hafeez and big Ben Dunk returning to Lahore. The biggest and most exciting news in the draft for them was perhaps the best signing of them all when they captured the services of Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan. Khan has risen through the ranks and was last year awarded the ICC T20 Player of the Decade award. They already had one of the best bowling attacks in the league last season and the addition of Khan only emphasises that. They also followed Islamabad’s example and signed English trio Samit Patel, Tom Abell and Joe Denly.

They kick off their campaign on Sunday the 21st of February by taking on Peshawar Zalmi, the team who they narrowly finished above last season and best in the first line eliminator on their route to the final. In that game, Mohammad Hafeez starred with the bat on his way to an unbeaten 74 runs from just 46 deliveries. Lahore chased down the 170 runs set by Peshawar with an over to go. However, they didn’t have things all their own way against Peshawar last season as they lost in their first game against them on matchday 11. It was a rain-interrupted match which was reduced to 12 overs. Peshawar set the Qalandars a very respectable total of 132 runs and Lahore fell short of that total by 16. They then met on matchday 24 when the Qalandars picked up their first win of two against Peshawar and exacted revenge on them for the defeat earlier on in the season. Peshawar again batted first and again they set a very good total, scoring 187/7 from their 20 overs. It was an extremely tight game that swayed back and forth but Lahore final got on top scoring the winning runs with just one ball left. Lahore Qalandar squad 2021 PSL players list is placed above.
