2019 IPL Schedule

The 12th edition of the Indian Premier League will be played in April-May 2019 in all probabilities. However, it needs to be seen if the BCCI decides to change the dates around in the build-up to the Cricket World Cup that will be held from May 31. There will be a total of 60 games played in the competition with 56 of them during the league phase and four games during the playoffs.

There are also talks that the 2019 edition of the IPL might not be fully played in India because of general elections in the country. UAE and South Africa have emerged as two viable options.

Last season, the Mumbai Indians featured in the first game of the competition as they took on the Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium, which was followed by a double-header on April 8 and a game on April 9 to round off the first round of the competition.
