Bangladesh Premier League BPL Live Score

Bangladesh Premier League live scoreThe newest edition of the Bangladesh Premier League will be played in January 2019 with the competition to kick-start on January 5. It will go all the way through to February 8 when the final will be played and the BPL T20 live scores and commentary for all the games can be followed below.

This will be the sixth season of the BPL which was expected to be held in October last year but had to be postponed to fit in the elections in the country. Seven teams will continue to feature in this edition, and only four overseas players will be allowed per side this year instead of the five that were played last season. Rangpur Riders will kick off the season as the defending champions after they won the title last.

The seven teams in action are Chittagong Vikings, Comilla Victorians, Dhaka Dynamites, Khulna Titans, Rajshahi Kings, Rangpur Riders, Sylhet Sixers. Some of the top players from Bangladesh and from around the world will be in action what with Mushfiqur Rahim leading the Vikings, Tamim Iqbal captaining Victorians, Shakib Al Hasan taking charge of Dynamites, Mahmudullah leading Titans, Mashrafe Mortaza being a key player for Riders and David Warner coming in as the skipper for Sixers.

Earlier, the news coming in was that Steven Smith’s participation had been stalled by the BCB because of the rules associated with the tournament but it has now been allowed and the former Aussie captain will be a part of the tournament. That should allow a lot more glamour to be associated with the tournament this time around.

All seven teams will play each other twice in a round-robin format that will see 42 matches played before the four playoffs. These matches will be hosted in Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet. The tournament begins with Chittagong facing Rangpur and Dhaka taking on Rajshahi on the opening day of the competition.Live BPL scores and commentary will be updated here.
