Lahore failed to chase down 136 in their opening game against the Quetta Gladiators but came back strongly against the Islamabad United when they chased down the required 159 in 18.2 overs. It took a special effort from Jason Roy who hammered a 60 off 51 balls to keep hs side in the game after Brendon McCullum had given them a blazing start, before the side fell away in the middle.
Later, Sunil Narine’s discovery as a batsman continued as he hammered a 12-ball 26, helping Lahore to score 34 off 16 balls to make it their first win.
