Pakistan tour of Scotland, 2018 schedule, Prediction
Pakistan in Scotland 2018
Pakistan will take on Scotland in a two-match T20I series that will be played on June 12 and 13 in Edinburgh and they have announced their squad for that series.
Most of the selected players are on expected lines but the big news coming from the Pakistan camp is that the injury to the in-form Babar Azam has meant he will be replaced by Haris Sohail in the line-up. Azam suffered a fracture during the first Test against England at Lord’s.
With Sohail having hit successive fifties in the two ODIs he played against New Zealand, it provides him with a good opportunity to push himself for a more permanent spot in the T20Is as well.
The rest of the squad has known faces like opening batsman Fakhar Zaman, all-rounders Shoaib Malik, Fahim Ashraf and Shadab Khan, fast bowlers Mohammad Amir and Hasan Ali and youngster Shaheen Shah Afridi, all of whom will be led by the capable Sarfaraz Ahmed. Sarfaraz will continue to keep wickets too.
What Pakistan will hope is for the team to get attuned to this format, one in which they are ranked first in the ICC Rankings, because they have a far tougher series coming up against Australia and Zimbabwe following these two games.
The Scotland side is coming off a ripper of a win against England on Sunday when they slammed a score of 371/5 from their 50 overs batting first and then restricted England to 365 in the 49th over. Calum MacLeod was declared the man-of-the-match for his unbeaten 140 that came off only 94 balls while Mark Watt finished with figures of 3/55 from his 10 overs.
