PSL T20 tickets for the second season will be on sale soon. Last year marked a great year for the Pakistan cricket, as the country launched its very first domestic league. Dubbed as the HBL Pakistan Super League, the tournament featured five franchises representing the cities, with a spectacular array of players from national and international brackets and you can avail of all this action by watching your favourite teams in the stadiums in UAE and Lahore (for the final). We are now in the second season of the PSL and the tickets for this second season will be soon be sold on what we think should be KyaZoonga.
The opening ceremony and opening match of the second season will take place on February 9 in Dubai. The website kyazoonga is the official online ticketing partner for the event. Tickets to the matches of all the franchises will be made available on this website. Tickets can also be booked over phone using the telephone numbers mentioned on Kyazoonga website. The PSL tickets price for the inaugural tournament had been priced at 20 AED for single headers while the play-offs, double headers & psl final tickets were priced from AED 30. Of course, the psl ticket price goes up if you eye the VIP galleries.
Apart from the online sale, tickets can also be bought on match days from stadium counters a month before the matches begin. However, it is suggested to book the tickets in advance to ensure you have a seat booked for this great spectacle.
The tournament was hosted by United Arab Emirates, with matches being played in the Dubai International Cricket Stadium and the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The crowd turnout for the first season was pretty decent, especially considering that there weren’t any particular local fans of the franchises. But the quality of the games and players made it a promising event, and the numbers in the stands are sure to increase next season.
Peshawar Zalmi finished on top of the table with 12 points, while Quetta Gladiators came second owing to a slightly inferior net run rate. The other two teams to qualify for the playoffs were Islamabad United at the third place and Karachi Kings at the fourth.
The action in the playoffs was far more interesting. Quetta Gladiators defeated Zalmi by just one run, while defending a total of 133 runs in order to reach the final. As for the game between Islamabad and Karachi, it was the former who won that match by 50 runs. This was certainly intriguing, given that at one point in the tournament, they were struggling a lot with their form.
The final lived up to the hype, as Gladiators batted first and set a total of 174 runs. United responded brilliantly, and sailed to a comfortable six wicket victory by the end of the 19th over.
Since then, the team rosters have changed, with all the five teams set to bring out their big guns. Lahore Qalandars, who finished last in the table, have got Brendon McCullum, Dwayne Bravo and Shaun Tait in their overseas lot, while the defending champions have Shane Watson, Andre Russell, Misbah-ul-Haq and more.
Legends like Chris Gayle and Kumar Sangakkara will be playing for Karachi Kings, while the Zalmi boasts of Shakib Al Hasan, Shahid Afridi and Darren Sammy.
With such a talented pool of players, watching the action live in stadium is going to be a brilliant experience. While the ticketing details haven’t been revealed yet, we will bring you the latest on that front once any developments take place. Make sure you watch this space for the the PSL 2017 tickets.
