Lahore Qalandars vs. Quetta Gladiators 18th T20 Match Prediction 16 Feb 2016
Lahore Qalandars Vs Quetta Gladiators (LQ vs QG) preview is placed here. The Pakistan Super League is now back at Dubai International Cricket Stadium as the league now heads into the final phase of the group stage. The very first match here will feature Lahore Qalandars going up against the Quetta Gladiators on Tuesday, February 16th.
This is a do-or- die match for the Lahore Qalandars, who have managed to secure just two wins in their campaign so far. Sitting at the bottom place, they have quickly got to find that traction to reach the top four and have a shot at reaching the final two.
Their last match was against Peshawar Zalmi, which was a really close one. They managed to put up 164 runs on the board, owing to a brilliant knock by Cameron Delport. Zalmi came incredibly close to the target, but lost the match by just four runs.
What is particularly interesting here is the fact that their other win came against none other than Quetta Gladiators at the end of first phase. Lahore managed to score 194 runs, to which Quetta responded with just 131 all-out. However, it won’t be easy for Lahore to repeat the same feat here.
Gladiators are now sitting at the second place with 10 points, and are assured of a spot in the Qualifier. Grant Eliott has proven to be quite useful for them, who has played a crucial part in securing wins for the team. Although in their previous fixture, they lost to the league leaders Peshawar Zalmi by eight wickets.
Quetta Gladiators have got nothing to lose here, and Vivian Richards can afford to experiment with the squad. As for Lahore, they have got to give everything in this match. It will be interesting to see how Paddy Upton picks up the playing XI for this crucial encounter. This is going to be an exciting game to watch.
